Located in the eastern part of the Alpilles, Eyguières has retained the charm so typical of Provençal villages, with its shaded small squares, impressive town houses, narrow streets… As you stroll through the village you can admire the numerous stone fountains (fontaine Cocotte, fontaine des Bormes, fontaine Coquille, fontaine Trinquetaille), the cemetery, the chapel of Saint-Vérédème. A superb walking trail will take you to the highest point on the Alpilles, the Tour des Opies (498 m above sea level) which commands superb panoramic views over the area!

What to see, what to visit: the Byzantine church of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (17th and 18th centuries), 18th century town houses on the place Thiers, the 18th century fountain of la Coquille, the wash house with stone columns, the 17th century olive oil press, the acqueduct, the arenas. Baux de Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Cavaillon.
Recommended activities: rock climbing, karting, the airfield of La Jasse with gliders, microlight aircrafts, walks and horse riding.

Festivities: Pilgrimage of Saint-Marc, flea market in late April. Festival of the Aiguière d'Or; votive festival of Saint-Vérédème during the first fortnight in August. Celebration of the transhumance period early October. Santon fair and Christmas market mid December. Feasts of Saint-Jean (late June) and of Saint-Vérédème (late August).
